For All To Envy – The founders of this interesting “shop” belong to specialists in vintage clothing since the 1990s. Besides that, For All To Envy offers its in-house brand as well. A wide assortment of sport, hip hop couture and pop culture graces their racks. The fashion and accessories by Jay Z, Michael Jordan, Stone Cold or Jerry Seinfeld are very popular. More over other treasures are waiting for their future owner. The customer never knows what he/she will come across. And that’s the best part of it.

Maxfield – One of the best designer stores in the town. Men and women will certainly find their likes. Maxfield offers a huge selection of brands from Gucci to Guns N’ Roses t-shirts. In stock are also jewelry, books and gift items.

Acne Studios – This is probably one of the coolest stores in the wide area, originally from Sweden. The brand offers mix of urban, casual, elegant and sporty clothes, shoes as well as accessories for men and women.

What Goes Around Comes Around – Authentic luxury store that takes vintage to the next level. If you need amazing pieces like vintage Levi’s, classic by designer Azzedine Alaïa, or the brands of Comme des Garcons, or Celine, then this is the place to be at. The first location opened in New York, nowadays there are more, including a boutique in Beverly Hills. 

Where to eat

Bestia Los Angeles – A very popular restaurant serving everything from pizza to fish or roasted marrow bone with spinach gnocchi. Buzzy hot spot to meet up with friends and a have a great meal. However, weeks’ advanced table reservation due to a really high demand is a necessity.

La Tropézienne Bakery – If you are in the mood for the fine and authentic French bakery á la croissant or pain au chocolate, then La Tropézienne is the right place to be at. The pastries are freshly baked in the early morning by a French chef.

Zinque – Charming spot offering delicious French cuisine. Lunch and dinner menus are amended of snacks with a large range of teas and refreshing cocktails. The ambience is highlighted by charming outside terrace, pleasant to just relax and enjoy people passing by.

Chateau Marmont – If the “Chateau” was a woman, you would instantly fall in love with her. The ambience of one of the most favorite celebrities’ meeting places is incomparable to others, nevertheless its classic Hollywood charm. Enjoy your drink at the fireplace with its flawless coulisse, listen to Sade’s music or step outside to the courtyard and feel like you are in a summer resort in the South of France.

Malibu Seafood – Lovely place by the ocean serving savory grilled and fried seafood, fresh out of the sea of course. Picturesque beach next to the restaurant is ideal for a romantic walk and observing the endless sea.

Sqirl – Paradise for today’s hipsters, at the same time a perfect escape from typical Hollywood glamour and nobleness. Sqirl is an unobtrusive restaurant with exceptional media interest. Located in LA’s Silver Lake. First of all don’t be fooled. Modest exterior hides “culinary treasures” where the most tasteful dishes and nibbles, e.g. French brioche toast with homemade marmalade, or the sorrel pesto rice with poached egg and a special dressing are served. Sqirl is a little discreet place with pleasant personnel and meals worth the wait.

What to see

The Arts District – A newly renovated area, former gritty industrial and commercial neighborhood. Located on the eastern edge of LA’s Downtown. A big concentration of artists, lot of galleries, omnipresent street art and various events are the biggest added value for the visitors.

The Broad – The home of many famous modern artists and their artworks, from Ray Lichtenstein’s Interior with African Mask (1991) to many pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Malibu Beach at sunset – Imagine a worriless drive on the Pacific Coast Highway all the way to Malibu with just one task. To park somewhere and enjoy the beautiful view at the sunset like Picasso paintings.

The Getty – World’s famous museum for its architecture, beautiful gardens and breathtaking views at Los Angeles. House to lot of classic artworks such as Vincent Van Gogh’s Irises. It’s really inspiring to see The Getty family collection, which includes antiquities, drawings, paintings and photographs compilation.
